Einar Lunden was born in Staten Island, NY in 1923. Attended and graduated from Port Richmond High School then went on to Art Students League of New York. Einar traveled United States and Europe in which he studied and created many drawings and paintings of landscapes. He was just getting his art into some galleries in New York City and was just becoming a known artist, but in 1972 Einar passed away at a young age of 49. Many of the pieces shown in this gallery is owned by surviving family members where the art is greatly appreciated. Some pieces in the gallery have rain drop stains as a  couple paintings were accidentally placed the garbage to be rescued by my wife's mother just as a rain storm was approaching. The smaller 4x6 pen/ink pieces were done on blank greeting cards and given to family members for Christmas and other holidays.

There are many creations of Einar's floating around in United States and in Europe. If you happen to be a owner of one his paintings or drawings, please contact us as we would love to add it to his online gallery.
